This is an abstract impression of Loch Shieldaig and Shieldaig Island, looking out to the Minch.
I walk along the headland, Shieldaig peninsula, most days and as the sky and the water change constantly, I paint this view very often trying to capture a fleeting glimpse of a few seconds of the day. 
It's quite tricky to capture the subtle colours in the sky in this painitng, they are lilacs, pale blues, greys ad a hint of pink in places.
